Visas

If you are planning a a trip to Australia, you will need to apply for either a visa or an ETA (Electronic Travel Authority). An ETA will let you spend up to three months in Australia. The Australian Government has now made it possible to arrange an ETA via the Internet.

 

 

Travel from the Airport

Please note that a pick-up service from the airport is not provided by the university. 

 

General

Melbourne's extensive public transport network is a multi-modal system which consists of trains, trams and buses and you can travel on any form of transport on just one Metcard. The network operates across Melbourne and the outer suburbs as far as Sydenham and Werribee in the West, Broadmeadows and Epping in the North, Lilydale and Belgrave in the East and Frankston and Cranbourne in the South. To travel to and from the Conference venue from the CBD, a Zone 1 ticket is required, which can be purchased from any train station for $5.80.

 

Transport from the CBD to the venue

The Footscray Park Campus of Victoria University is 15 minutes walk from Footscray train station. There are also buses and trams that stop outside or close to the campus. If coming from the CBD, the Werribee and St. Albans/Water Gardens line trains all stop at Footscray. The 406 Keilor East bus outside the train station will then take you to the university. The trams and buses stop a block away from the campus.
