We are pleased to announce that this year, the managerial board of the Research Group in Mathematical Inequalities and Applications (RGMIA) at Victoria University, Melbourne, Australia, will be organising a Special Session in Inequalities and Applications for the 49th Annual Meeting of the Australian Mathematical Society.

The meeting will be held during September 27 - 30, 2005 on the grounds of the University of Western Australia.
